“Supporting our partners in hospitality has always been at the core of Resy and Tock’s DNA,” said Pablo Rivero, SVP American Express Global Dining and CEO, Resy and Tock. “Our Advisory Board is one of many ways we will keep the voices of industry leaders, and the broader communities they represent, at the heart of our strategy. Each of these founding members has shaped the industry in their own way, and their collective expertise will help us build tools that make a meaningful difference. We’re honored to have them at the table with us.”
“Since opening Lilia nearly a decade ago, Resy has been more than a platform — they’ve been a true partner throughout the evolution of our business,” said Missy Robbins, chef and co-owner of Lilia, Misi, and Misipasta and co-founder of Grovehouse. “The Advisory Board builds on that foundation, giving operators a voice and creating space for meaningful conversation about what’s next for our industry.”
American Express acquired Resy, a digital restaurant reservation booking and management platform, in 2019 and acquired Tock, a reservation, table, and event management technology provider, in 2024 to expand the company’s restaurant network and to better serve restaurants, diners, and American Express® Card Members and merchants. Most recently, American Express announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Toast focused on powering more personalized hospitality experiences across Resy and Tock’s vast hospitality network.
The inaugural session was held on September 16, 2025, at Nom Wah Tea Parlor in New York City, where board members shared candid perspectives on everything from the realities of day-to-day operations, opportunities to unlock loyalty and discovery, and the long-term promise of AI. Their insights will continue to guide American Express Global Dining as it works to design technology that helps restaurants thrive.
