It’s too gd hot to even notice, but the Olympics end Sunday. How is Simone Biles relevant here? She’s not, except she’s a boss, just like these restaurants. You are where you eat, so off you go, you beautiful champion.

1/Paowalla
Because Chef Floyd Cardoz is back in NYC, serving food inspired by where he grew up. He describes the restaurant as “more Indian than Tabla,” so you know that’s a good thing. Kulfi obvi. // SoHo. Book now at Paowalla.

2/Mimi
Because you can’t get enough of this cozy, Sullivan street, French restaurant. Adam Platt said it best when he said, “So where the hell has this place been all my life?!” // SoHo. Book now at Mimi.

3/Cafe Altro Paradiso
Because have you seen their carne cruda with summer truffles? Summer truffles alert! // Hudson Square. Book now at Cafe Altro Paradiso.

4/Ladybird
Because, vegetarians, it’s all happening for you. The menu includes an inventive “charcuterie” spread featuring beet chorizo, mushroom pâté and smoked carrots. Plus, 10% of all proceeds are being donated to the Beast Foundation to prevent cruelty to animals. Two bird, one stone. // Greenwich Village. Book now at Ladybird.

5/Olmsted
Because here’s the farm-to-Brooklyn restaurant that the borough always knew it had in it. Last week Pete Wells gave them two stars and described their gazpacho as, “inarguably delicious.” In the restaurant is a raised bed of radishes (whose leaves go into the gazpacho), a bathtub full of crayfish, and a bird coop. Inarguably, dude. // Prospect Heights. (718) 552-2610.

6/Lilia
Because the mafaldini with pink peppercorn and parmigiano reggiano is still LIT. No time for a full meal? Stop by the cafe and pick up a Chef Missy Robbin’s tomato focaccia (tomato season is so hot right now) and a burrata sandwich, or two. // Williamsburg. Book now at Lilia.

7/Pasquale Jones
Because, NY Times knowledge drop: “There are a lot of little reasons to eat at Pasquale Jones. For big reasons, you have the clam pizza and pork shank, maybe, and the wine. No maybe about the wine.” // Nolita. Book now at Pasquale Jones.

8/Atoboy
Because they’re bringing modern Korean fare to NYC via a Banchan-style tasting menu. Seasonal local ingredients prepared by way of traditional Korean techniques. Tartare tada. // Nomad. Book now at Atoboy.

9/Karasu
Because spicy cod roe and tobiko pasta. The space is secretive, the drinks are perfect, and the food takes it home. You’re welcome in advance. // Fort Greene. Book now at Karasu.

10/Llama Inn
Because summer and Peruvian food is exactly what you need. There are a few must-orders but if you leave without getting the beef stir fry, topped with french fries, chilies, and avocado, you’ll miss out on heaven. // Williamsburg. Book now at Llama Inn.

Bonus/Roger Vergé Tribute Dinner
Because this gala event has more than a dozen of the world’s great chefs paying tribute to an industry pioneer. The late chef will be remembered by Daniel Boulud, David Bouley, and more. Chefs Sirio Maccione and possibly Paul and/or Jerome Bocuse, were just added to the lineup, too. Chef Daniel Boulud said it best, “It’s an incredible line-up of chefs, who all jumped at the chance to celebrate a man who had such a positive influence on all of us.” // Grab your ticket before it’s too late.
