From a KBBQ stalwart to a flavor-bending ramen counter, these are just a few of the beloved New York spots that are now bookable on Resy. Right this way.
Note: This list will be updated regularly with new additions each month, so be sure to check back often. For New York’s newest restaurant openings, head here.
THAISM Carroll Gardens
Newly added!
Follow your nose – it’ll lead you right to Thaism. Their wonderfully smelling food perfumes the Carroll Gardens air in a way that is so mouthwatering it makes it close to impossible not to stop here. Order the minced pork basil and a duck noodle soup.
Yefsi Estiatorio Upper East Side
Newly added!
Yefsi, or “taste” in Greek, is a fitting name here in more ways than one. The dining room is tastefully done, yes, but the real draw here is the grilled fish, meats, and the fluffy pita.
Mocha Burger Greenwich Village
Newly added!
Whether your fancy is traditional beef, lamb, mushroom, or salmon burgers, Mocha Burger has you covered. Add on an order of fried crunchy onions and you’re golden. Plus? It just happens to be completely kosher certified.
Bersi Ethiopian Restaurant Greenpoint
Because the namesake behind Bersi got her start selling injera to the Ethiopian Eritrean community of New York City almost a decade ago. And Bersabeh “Bersi” Ayele still makes it fresh every morning to hold (and soak up) a world of incredible plant-based offerings — don’t miss the mushroom tibs, misir wot (lentils cooked in a spicy red sauce), and the traditional chickpeas.
Bangrak Thai Cuisine Yorkville
If you’re looking for a Thai spot fit for a princess — or at least someone whose favorite color is pink — then Bangrak is for you. The menu abounds with Southern Thai flavors, and do note that their signature gaeng rawaeng (stewed beef with turmeric and coconut curry) is required eating.
Sushi Mambo Inwood
If you’re craving sushi with a twist, then let Sushi Mambo take care of you. The Japanese-Latin spot excels in fusion rolls, with ingredients like fried yucca, sweet plantain, and longaniza, but if your tastes veer for the familiar, they’ve got the requisite salmon avocado roll on the menu, too.
Saar Indian Bistro Midtown
For particularly tasty Indian classics like butter chicken, rogan josh, and paneer, head to Saar and order one of each of the breads (the fenugreek paratha is especially good) for all that sauce. Absolutely save room for dessert (an impeccable saffron rice pudding) and Pro tip: They’ve got a happy hour until 6:30 p.m. that includes both small bites and cocktails.
Omakase Sushi by Hiro Sheepshead Bay
Because when a veteran of Sushi Nakazawa opens his own place, you pay attention. Here, you’ve got a variety of omakase menus with different courses and price points to choose from, ranging anywhere from 11 courses for $78 per person to 13 courses for $118 per person.
Paul’s on Time Square Times Square
Come here for a white tableclothed oasis in the middle of New York City’s most hectic neighborhood. Best yet: Paul’s doles out comfort by serving up classic Italian-American fare — cue the baked ziti, calamari, and chicken parm.
Westville – Wall Street Financial District
It’s our go-to healthy-ish lunch spot, complete with build-your-own plates, fresh salads, and a turkey burger worth traveling for. Don’t skimp on the market sides and mac and cheese.
Clinton Hall Fidi Financial District
The original location of what is slowly becoming New York’s requisite good-time brewery, FiDi’s Clinton Hall is known for their tabletop games and whimsical food — think gooey cheese-drenched burgers with fries stuffed into its center and grilled cheese served suspended over tomato soup.
Antique Garage – Soho SoHo
Named for its home in a former working mechanic shop, Antique Garage serves up expertly executed Mediterranean classics like flaky borek, juicy kebabs, and filling lamb burgers. Pro tip: They have live jazz during their weekend brunches.
Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs Tribeca
Look for the pink, three-story townhouse right in the middle of Tribeca — that’s Tiny’s. They serve food all day, but at dinner, the curried spinach dip and dry-aged burger are particularly worth the trip. You’re also sure to see a crowd of revelers out front, sipping on Peach Fizz cocktails.
Le Pistol Prospect Heights
Come here for compelling Cajun food served in a mellow Prospect Heights spot. Order the oxtail French dip and the pommes frites served with a creamy black garlic aioli and don’t forget a cocktail — their list is both fun and tasty. Do try the Breakfast Porn with passionfruit and pistachio.
Corkbuzz Chelsea Chelsea
In the hustle and bustle of Chelsea Market, this little slice of Union Square’s much-loved Corkbuzz Wine Studio is a perfect little respite where you can partake in some lovely wines from an expertly crafted list (master sommelier Laura Maniec is the owner). Oh, and don’t overlook the robust food menu, either (made to pair with the wine) — the housemade ricotta is particular good. Pro tip: Their daytime happy hour features specially selected wines by the glass for just $12.
Gino’s Restaurant Bay Ridge
Head here for a classic red-sauce joint that’s been serving one of the city’s quintessentially Italian New York enclaves since the 1960’s. And do know that the baked clams, meatball hero, and hot antipasto are required eating.
Palermo Restaurant Astoria
Because they’ve got all the Italian food you could ever want, and then some. Order the homemade garlic focaccia, veal parmesan, and a pizza for the table. Pro tip? When the weather’s nice, their patio is the place to be.
Jongro BBQ Koreatown
This K-Town stalwart has been serving up perfectly marbled cuts on tabletop grills for more than a decade. Better yet, the banchan and accompanying dishes are top-notch, too. The barbecued meat is obviously a must, and don’t forget a bottle of soju for the table, either.
Catch Steak New York Chelsea
At this buzzy steakhouse, the night is sure to take a gilded turn, with choices like Wagyu cooked tableside, whole lobsters, and towering orders of waffle fries. Do show up dressed to impress and ready to see and be seen.
Ramen By Ra Noho
It’s a postage-stamp-sized spot for delicious asa-ramen bowls with a decidedly New York City twist. Think bacon, egg, and cheese ramen, and smoked salmon bowls served at one of their five sleek seats. Bonus? You’re bound to see chef-owner Rasheeda Purdie behind the counter every time you go.
The Cactus Shop Willliamsburg
Come here for a speakeasy experience that’ll make you feel like you’re in Mexico, where the cocktails (they make a particularly excellent margarita) are just as good as the food. Must-orders are as follow: the zucchini blossom quesadilla, the birria flautas, and the tres leches cake to finish it all.
Symposium Greek Taverna Morningside Heights
It’s an elaborately designed Greek spot that looks straight out of Mykonos. Order the pastitsio, moussaka, and grilled octopus. Can you feel that sea breeze?
Pecking House Park Slope
What do you get when an Eleven Madison Park alum decides to go all in on fried chicken? You get Pecking House. Its chile fried chicken really is one of a kind — a special blending of influences from Nashville-style hot chicken and Taiwanese popcorn chicken — and worth a trip to Brooklyn. Don’t sleep on the oyster mushroom po’ boy or the dirty fried rice, either.
Paulie Gee’s Greenpoint
It’s a quintessential — and essential — Brooklyn pizza destination, with a huge list of pies (try their signature Hellboy with Mike’s Hot Honey and hot soppressata) and plenty of craft beers on tap. They’re open until 2 a.m., which also makes it the perfect spot to go to cap off your night.
Coszcal de Allende Bay Ridge
Coszcal de Allende is back, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. While they’ve found a new home after a decade in their original location, they’re still serving up their incredible sopa panza, alongside quesadillas, tamales, and tortas.
Lovebirds Wine Bar & Bistro Greenpoint
It’s a perfect spot for a cozy, low-key date night, with plenty of excellent wines by the bottle and a fun, inventive menu. Try the sunchoke miso velouté and the poppyseed cheesecake. Pro tip: Visit their bottle shop in Bushwick for some wine to take home, too.
