The Resy Hit List: Where In Boston You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in Boston: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In Boston Not to Miss This Month

  • Somaek, So Good: Jamie Bissonnette’s latest act has kicked off with the opening of Somaek, a new Downtown Korean restaurant focused on traditional flavors. Bonus: its space at 11 Temple Place hosts two other Bissonnette projects, a vinyl-heavy “listening bar” dubbed Temple Records and its 22-seat sushi bar, Sushi @ Temple Records. Book early and often.
  • Think Pink: To commemorate both the end of the traditional sake brewing season and the start of cherry blossom season, The Koji Club is holding its third annual “Cherry Blossom Namazake Disco” on Saturday, April 6th. The evening affair promises sake tastings from four participating breweries, food from the likes of Portland’s Mr. Tuna, and a strictly enforced mandate to wear pink. Find tickets here.
  • Khao Soi 101: Perhaps you’ve had khao soi, the slurp-tastic Thai noodle soup flavored by a spicy, coconut milk-based broth. Now you can learn how to make it yourself at an April 29th cooking class at Talulla hosted by visiting chef Hong Thaimee. At its conclusion, you’re likely to be hungry — so it’s convenient that it ends with a shared, family-style dinner. Find tickets here.
  • Brunch Rush: In honor of your Saturday and Sunday mornings, we’ve fine-tuned the ol’ Resy Boston brunch guide. We left all the Contessa lobster Benedicts and The Franklin’s chicken-fried-steak right where you remembered them, while spreading the word about fried chicken served over crushed croissants at Shy Bird and the wonderful things that Sloane’s is doing with banana bread (namely, using it as the basis for egg in a hole with bacon marmalade).
