The May Hit List: Selden Standard, Forest, Social Kitchen, and More

By

The unseasonably warm April means that May’s promised flowers have already bloomed in much of southeast Michigan. But floral displays aren’t the only thing sprouting around these parts. Perennial James Beard Award nominee Andy Hollyday of Detroit’s Selden Standard finally made it through to the finalist round, while native Detroiter and former Forest line cook Charlie Mitchell is up for the Emerging Chef award. Over on the east side, The Bricks is readying another sister restaurant in Grosse Pointe, and canalside dining returns to Coriander Kitchen & Farm. All those details and more coming your way in your Resy Hit List for May.
