Where to Eat in March: Xin Chào, Jun, Xalisko, and More

By

March is here, and with it we welcome the arrival of Women’s History Month, a time to commemorate the countless contributions that women have made in our communities (something we should really be doing all year anyway). When it comes to Houston’s restaurant industry, women-led kitchens are doing much more than simply serving great food — they’re helping to reimagine the dining scene in truly exciting ways, and they’re taking inspiration from their roots as a jumping-off point.

From Christine Ha’s modern take on traditional Vietnamese cuisine and Benchawan Jabthong Painter’s “unapologetically authentic Thai” food, to Beatriz Martines’ vibrant Mexican fine-dining restaurant in the Woodlands, these women chefs are blazing their own path here in town and encouraging others to follow suit. We celebrate them and other women of food on this month’s Resy Hit List.
