The July Hit List: June, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, Answer, and More

By

Summertime, and the living is, well … oppressive.

The heat and humidity in Nashville wraps around you like a wet wool blanket as soon as you step out of the house, so maybe al fresco dining isn’t in the cards. That’s OK, because local restaurants know to keep the a/c cranked and the dishes chilled.

And that’s where Resy’s Hit List comes in. As you know, each month we bring you our picks of 10 must-try restaurants, the spots you need on your dining radar right now. Some may be familiar; hopefully a couple will surprise you. Although you may not be shocked to learn to see Sean Brock’s new tasting menu restaurant June atop the list, one of Nashville’s must-visits for dining this summer.

But beyond that? Cool off with raw vegan fare at AVO or an order of sweet kakigōri shaved ice from Locust to beat the heat without the meat. Or go ahead and lean into the spicy food at Chauhan Ale & Masala House or Marsh House to embrace the tropical climate. The July Hit List is here to help, whether you want to go cold or hot.
