1. Carbone Dallas
Highland Park
Carbone is finally open in Dallas, and the ultra-buzzy Major Food Group restaurant is bringing the goods. With lunch and dinner menus that span all of the New York flagship’s greatest hits (Mario’s Meatballs!), this luxe entry is one of the most-anticipated locally in some time … for good reason. Where else can you get wedding soup, beets Siciliana and a whole branzino — for lunch? And speaking of seafood, Dallas may be land-locked, but expect seriously swoonable seafood here, like the octopus pizzaiolo appetizer and the scallops Marechiara. Pro tip: Carbone Vino, an adjacent wine bar opening later this month, will be one more reason to say cin-cin.
