The Resy Hit List: Where In Detroit You’ll Want to Eat in February 2024

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in and around Detroit: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In Detroit Not to Miss This Month

  • Brunch With Style: Fried Chicken and Caviar’s co-owners Chi Walker and Nik Cole are hosting brunch every Sunday in February at Shelby, located in Detroit’s financial district. Indulge in plates of fried chicken and caviar, sweet potato hash with brown butter salmon, and pork belly cinnamon rolls. Book for Feb. 4, 11, 18, or 25. (The duo are also popping up at Lily’s & Elise Tea House for a Galentine’s Dinner, while Shelby has its own V-Day menu.)
  • Midwinter Seafood Soiree: Dive into coastal delights on February 9 and 10 with Voyager in Ferndale as they host their 2nd Annual Midwinter Lobster Boil (book for the 9th or 10th). This indulgent affair features whole main lobsters, P.E.I. mussels, steamer clams, andouille sausage, and more. And check our Resy Events page for more happening this month.
  • BHM Culinary Art: In collaboration with Hospitality Included, Neighborhood Grocery brings you a Black History Month celebration of food and art. Their pickup Shoebox Lunches feature partnerships with Lunchbox Deli, Angela Davis of The Kitchenista, and Vegan Baddies—all pre-made and available for pre-order. And save the date for the Culinary Art Show on February 24, featuring a meal by Konjo Me and art by local talents.
  • A Lunar Spectacle: Join the festivities at Mon Jin Lau, renowned for its spectacular Chinese New Year Party. On February 18, this family affair invites you to partake in a multi-course dinner, with the highlight of the evening a mesmerizing lion dance presented by the Detroit Lion Dance Association.
