With its soaring ceilings, leather banquettes, and imposing marble bar, The Emory boasts a stated grandeur. And though the menu is based off steakhouse classics, owner Andy Kilgore doesn’t want this Beacon Hill newcomer to feel stuffy in the least. Rather, the acclaimed bartender veers for the whimsical, doling out foie gras tots and a lobster sausage sandwich. One thing’s for sure: there’s a deep love for New England, present in the local raw bar selection and lobster bake.
