New on Resy: Nightshade Noodle Bar, Sweet Cheeks Q, Saltie Girl, and More

Chef Rachel Miller, who first gained props for her Vietnamese-accented fare at Nightshade pop-ups around the Boston area, now has a permanent home. The small menu, frequently changing, is full of bright, fresh flavors, but whatever you do, don’t miss Miller’s signature mi kho — homemade egg noodles with caramelized garlic sauce, Thai basil, peanuts, and a choice of braised mushrooms or shredded beef (The move: Ask for both).

You’ll think you’ve been transported to the south as you sip your Dollywood cocktail (Tito’s vodka, limoncello, elderflower), snack on pimiento cheese with traditional Ritz crackers, and then dig into the heritage breed pulled pork at this one-of-a-kind barbecue place from Tiffani Faison (Orfano, Tiger Mama, and Fool’s Errand).

For more than a quarter-century, this Back Bay standby has been about relaxed surroundings and comfort food done right. You’ll love the cozy orange leather booths but if the weather’s nice, grab a seat at the sidewalk café and enjoy the passing scene along with your Caesar salad or fish and chips.

Wood tones, indoor palm trees, and a wall planted with tropical flora set the scene for this Southeast Asian-inspired bistro from chef Tiffani Faison (Sweet Cheeks Q, Orfano, Fool’s Errand). Fresh herbs and chiles brighten the vegetable-and-seafood-heavy menu — and don’t miss Tiger Mama’s take on the original Trader Vic’s Mai Tai.

You’ll want a seat at the bar at this cool little fish-and-shellfish-focused place with its walls painted the color of a blue-green sea. The sister restaurant to Stephanie’s on Newbury, Saltie Girl serves oysters, smoked fish, and variations on crudo — but don’t miss the fried lobster with waffles and spicy maple syrup.

Don’t expect a conventional menu at this breezy Seaport restaurant, a mainland offshoot of the original Nautilus on Nantucket. Everything here is meant to be shared, from the miso black cod fried rice to the whole roasted Peking duck — though you’ll probably want to keep the epic frozen piña colada to yourself.

Red vinyl booths and a marble bar set the tone at this clubby, pubby Symphony Hall-area brasserie. This is a Buffalo Trace old fashioned and steak frites kind of place — but if you’re in a more casual mood, a local craft beer and the buttermilk-brined fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and pickles will fix you up just fine.

This is a true bucket-list dining experience. At their part-time home in Andover, Vermont, about 100 miles northwest of their buzzy Somerville Peruvian place, Celeste, Maria Rondeau and JuanMa Calderón stage a weekend pachamanca: a feast of meats, vegetables, and humitas (steamed corn cakes) cooked underground between hot stones — a tradition dating back to the Incas.
