The Resy Hit List: Where In New Orleans You’ll Want to Eat Right Now

By

There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.

We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in New Orleans: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.

Four Things In New Orleans Not to Miss This Month

  • Lunar New Year Brunch: Known for its creative “inauthentic” cuisine and killer cocktails,  Mister Mao will celebrate Lunar New Year with a special brunch Feb. 10 and 11, highlighting chef Sophina Uong’s globally-inspired dishes, inspired by the Year of the Dragon. Book here.
  • A Major Haul: Galatoire (sic) Foundation raised more than $250,000 for charity at its annual Mardi Gras Table Auction, held in January, part of a Galatoire’s tradition to auction off tables for Christmas and the Friday before Mardi Gras (Feb. 9). While all the downstairs tables have been sold, you may still be able to score a reservation upstairs. Check here, and perhaps put in a Notify.
  • Speaking of Mardi Gras: Both Columns and The Chloe are located on the Uptown parade route and both have large front galleries from which to catch the parades. Book Columns here, and The Chloe here.
  • Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: Located on the Magazine Street leg of the Uptown route, Osteria Lupo is doing its wood-fired pizzas to-go for Mardi Gras. The Diavola has spicy ‘nduja, jalapeño, and fontina; and a 24-month prosciutto di San Daniele number is finished with basil. Signature cocktails are also available to go, because you can do that here. You can also roll the dice on a (tough) reservation if a table beckons instead.
