The September Hit List: Lufu NOLA, Compère Lapin, Criollo, and More
As compared to how it usually does in other parts, summertime does not end in New Orleans with the arrival of September. The city continues to bake under a heat dome; locals remain firmly locked in the embrace of their air conditioners. The upside is, restaurants are rolling out special events, special menus, and bringing in guest chefs to lure the overheated from their chilled lairs.
Your September Resy Hit List has the scoop. Brave newcomers Lufu NOLA and Pigeon and Whale recently opened to white hot receptions in the throes of summer. Criollo sets the lure with a lunch special that unlocks access to the Hotel Monteleone’s rooftop pool and $1 martinis through the end of the month. Compère Lapin has brought back Sunday brunch, and we haven’t even talked about the pop-ups yet. Get ready for it all.
