Open for dining in or takeout, this Linda Derschang classic is a great place to step away from your house for a bit, whether to meet a friend for dinner and drinks, or to grab a coffee and pastry to go. Happy hour is on too, and to-go kits are available as well, featuring a choice of pasta or polenta, a bottle of wine and a dessert.

Limited dine-in seating offers Korean barbecue feast options at the table; if you’re looking to dine on the outdoor patio instead, there’s a dedicated menu for that, which features an MKB wagyu beef burger, Korean fried chicken and some ssam bowl options (kalbi marinated wagyu skirt steak, chili marinated pork shoulder or a ginger-soy glazed mackerel).

If you’ve had JuneBaby on your list, but could never get a table, you can now order ahead and get takeout to experience a taste of Edouardo Jordan’s award-winning restaurant. The takeout menu features reheat at home meals, including Jordan’s famous Sunday fried chicken dinner.

If the cold has you wishing for summer again, head to Agua Verde for some sunshine on a plate — or in a box, if you’re opting for takeout. Our favorite: the Baja tacos, which feature panko-breaded cod, red cabbage, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo and avocado.

If you’ve become attached to the Not your Ma-po’s tofu dish, or their Szechuan dumplings, no need to worry: Plenty of Clouds’ full menu is available for both dine-in and takeout. Pantry items are available for purchase, too, like sesame dressing, dumpling sauce, “magic spice,” and shao kao spice.

New to the scene, yes but word is spreading quickly about this takeout-only joint serving Southeast Asian-inspired congee. The takeout bowls are 100% compostable, and the chefs, who come from restaurants including Tilth, Agrodulce and Pestle Rock, focus on organic meats and sustainably sourced seafood.

Sophie and Eric Banh’s popular Vietnamese restaurant Ba Bar, sister restaurant to their longstanding spot Monsoon, serves up hot pho and stiff drinks, perfect for these cold brisk days. Last we saw, they created an inviting outdoor space at their U Village location, complete with space heaters for those who aren’t comfortable dining indoors at this point. More info here.

As the air becomes brisk and fall turns to winter, hearty meat dishes hit the spot. And FlintCreek uses premium meats from small farms and ranches that focus on responsible raising methods. Expect to find dishes like fennel braised wild boar shoulder and brined bone-in pork chop, in addition to at least one seafood and vegetarian entree, like Neah Bay rockfish and wild mushroom bolognese.

Who doesn’t want the option of having breakfast at any time of the day? Geraldine’s was a weekend brunch favorite, often commanding long lines every weekend. These days, getting takeout brunch, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, is the norm, and Geraldine’s classic American dishes are still consistently delicious. Pro tip: No matter what you order, you won’t be sorry if you add one of their homemade biscuits.

Delicious burgers, perfectly fried chicken, and comfort vegan options all in one place? Oak has even meat eaters opting for their vegan options from time to time with menu items like the vegan phish witch and vegan chicken tenders. Beef is sourced from Painted Hills, and cage-free organic chicken comes from Draper Valley. And the desserts? Many, if not all, are usually vegan, too.
