IL Nido, The Corson Building, Canlis, and More: Introducing The Resy At Home Hit List

After closing its doors for much of March, IL Nido has been offering take-home pasta for the past month now. Dubbed the IL Nido Pasta Shop, diners get a chance to taste Mike Easton’s handmade pastas and sauces (and salads and desserts) by buying it from a refrigerated case in the restaurant and bringing it home to assemble, no reservations required. Fine dining has its place, but in these times, Canlis realized the need to get creative with its business model and basically rolled out three different restaurant concepts in March: a bagel shed for breakfast, a drive-through burger lunch, and a delivered family meal option for dinner. Breakfast and lunch offerings have halted, but family meal is still going strong. Just as with reservations at this Seattle institution, planning ahead will get you far, because many of the family meal options sell out quickly, as do the CSA boxes, which include fresh meat, dairy and produce from its suppliers. While The London Plane isn’t offering takeout, it has made its Larder Share available as a weekly Friday subscription or a la carte. Sign up to get a box produce from Local Roots Farm, wine and Plane bread, along with a few other dairy items, like housemade buttermilk or sheep’s milk feta. Learn more about its spring shares.

While a big part of dining at The Corson Building is the ambiance, the food speaks for itself, and takeout service allows those used to searching for hard-to-find reservations to enjoy its dishes at home. A weekly three-course menu features dishes like spring tabbouleh, grilled yogurt marinated lamb leg, and flatbread with long cooked greens and carrot-almond muhhamara. Bring a taste of Sichuan home with inspired dishes like Strange Flavor Cauliflower with green chiles, mint, sesame, and scallions. Start with some veggies, then move onto Not Your Grandma’s Ma Po Tofu, which includes pork two ways and rice, and some sesame noodles, and don’t forget dessert — a variation on a Rice Krispies treat, but with cornflakes, salted peanuts, toasted sesame, and dark chocolate. Who says to-go pho isn’t as good? Ba Bar is still serving up its full menu via delivery and takeout, and we crave the pho tai nam and crispy imperial rolls on the regular. Pro Tip: Call your order in for pick up (curbside pick-up is available, too) and get 20% off your bill. Beer and wine options are available, too. Iberico de Bellota dinner kit for two? We’ll be right there. One of The Harvest Vine’s most memorable dishes is available for take-out — all you have to do is grill or sear the acorn-fed Iberico pork to medium-rare and warm the potatoes and cider sauce up in the oven or microwave. Salads, cheese plates, and desserts are also on the menu. Weekly pick-up is on Fridays between 2 and 4 p.m. and the restaurant will start making calls at 10 a.m. that day to assign pick-up times to orders placed online before then. The smoker is still hot at Lady Jaye, where to-go meal packages and cocktail kits are available Wednesday through Sunday. Menus are posted every Tuesday, and you can call or email to put your order in. Cocktail kits include the likes of the Bourbon Crusta (bourbon, Cointreau, absinthe, lemon juice and a housemade sherbet rim), and meals feed two, with dishes like pork belly burnt ends, 10 vegetable vinegar slaw, roasted green chile mac and buttermilk biscuits. Normally known for Neapolitan-style pizzas, Bar Del Corso has changed its menu, but we’re just happy they’re still there and making food. While pizzas are on hold, the menu doesn’t fail to delight, with options never seen on the menu before, like eggplant parm. With a new menu every day, pre-orders open up the day before at 5 p.m. and sell out fast (especially on lasagna days).
