The Resy Hit List: Where In New Orleans You’ll Want to Eat in April 2024
There’s no question we hear more often: Where should I go eat? And while we at Resy know it’s an honor to be the friend who everyone asks for restaurant advice, we also know it’s a complicated task. That’s where the Resy Hit List comes in.
We’ve designed it to be your essential resource for dining in New Orleans: a monthly-updated (and newly expanded!) guide to the restaurants in that you won’t want to miss — tonight or any night.
Five Things In New Orleans Not to Miss This Month
-
Post-‘Fest Feasting: Palm & Pine will be serving up a special late-night menu of fried chicken sandwiches and just-right cheeseburgers on Friday and Saturday of both weekends of JazzFest (April 26-27, and May 3-4) from 11 p.m.-1 a.m.
-
Off-the-Grounds Fare: In the Warehouse District, Plates will serve up food and drinks inspired by those found out at the Fair Grounds at JazzFest over both weekends of the festival (April 24-27, and May 1-4). The bar will feature cocktail versions of festival favorites strawberry lemonade. rose mint tea, and mango freeze. Hit up the kitchen for crawfish bread, and blackened redfish with crawfish Monica sauce. And a cochon de lait po’boy is available throughout the festival.
- A Happy Place: Cure, which ignited the New Orleans cocktail revolution back in 2009, has brought all manner of happy hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m., and two happy hours on Sunday through Thursday, including a late-night from 9:30-11 p.m. Yes, the kitchen is open for all, and yes, you can book a table.
- Put a Litte Gris-Gris on It: Gris-Gris has an expanded happy hour from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday-Monday. Words that perk up our ears? Jumbo wings with Crystal honey butter, Natchitoches meat pies, and $2 off many drinks.
- Tuesday’s Just As Good: Galatoire’s has brought back Tuesday lunch and dinner service, making the French-Creole classic accessible any day of the week except Monday. Hey, everyone needs a break, even the grandest of ladies. Book here.
