On October 18th, Resy will present Conant, a one-night-only flash restaurant in the West Village of Manhattan. Conant is a preview of a flagship restaurant of the same name that Scott Conant will open in New York City in 2015. The menu this Saturday will be a 5-course dinner with wine pairings. Reservations will be available exclusively on Resy, starting 10/17 at 9 AM. The restaurant opens at 5:00 PM and reservations will be priced according to seating time, which range from open until to 10:30 PM.

Sometimes the restaurants we want to exist don’t, which is certainly the case with Conant. Scott has been on the sidelines in New York City for a few years now, but before that he was at the helm of excellent restaurants like Scarpetta, where he turned spaghetti with tomato sauce into a destination dish; and L’Impero, where he earned 3 stars from the New York Times and was, in 2004, named a “Best New Chef” by Food & Wine magazine. In the time since, he’s distinguished himself with simple and elegant cuisine. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Scott and his team to put his food in front of New York eaters again.
About these “Flash Restaurants,” we hope they’ll become a matter of habit around here. We’ll present chefs and concepts from near and far at momentary places that could exist, where you make a reservation, get a menu, have a meal, and leave thrilled and sated. And sit in a place that is actually a restaurant, not some clandestine loft somewhere, long forgotten by the Department of Buildings and the gods of HVAC.
