Because the team behind Speedy Romeo knows a thing or two about wood-fired fare, and here, the vessel for that wisdom is tacos. Nosh on one of the eight varieties, coupled with a smoked peach margarita on the front patio, and reach peak summertime bliss.

Because there’s no shortage of inventive offerings at the latest opening from Hand Hospitality (Her Name is Han, Atoboy). From tamago yakitori with bacon and truffle salt to spicy beef curry udon topped with potato whipped cream, the vast menu is far from boring.

Because high-quality, affordable sushi is hard to come by, but leave it to Yuji Haraguchi (of Okonomi fame) to offer up a compelling take. Cured and pickled fish (Kyoto-style) is his focus here, with set menus comprised of hakozushi, temari, sashimi, and temaki.
