Now on Resy: Leroy, Evelyn’s Table, The Mulwray, and More

Led by two female entrepreneurs, Catherine Salway and chef Andrea Walters, Redemption is billed as London’s healthiest restaurant. The menu is entirely vegan, sugar-free, and wheat-free, and the bar serves no alcohol. The motto for both locations, Notting Hill and Shoreditch, is “spoil yourself without spoiling yourself” and the ethos is rooted firmly in caring for the planet, its animals, and ourselves.

Located in the cellar of The Blue Posts on Rupert Street and lead by head chef Nacho Pinilla, Evelyn’s Table curates a daily-changing menu of seasonal and locally sourced modern European dishes, like smoked eel with potato blini and beetroot or an Italian veal chop with sage, pancetta, and chard. Siblings Zoë and Layo Paskin, the duo behind celebrated restaurants The Palomar and The Barbary, are the restaurateurs.

Set on the first floor of The Blue Posts on Rupert Street, and named after the fictional character Evelyn Mulwray in the movie Chinatown, The Mulwray is a cocktail bar decked out in dark velvet, Carrara marble, luxe brass details, and soft pink furnishings. Enjoy inventive libations, such as the dry, smoky, and aromatic White Mischief (QuiQuiRiQui mezcal, manzanilla sherry, Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto) and the zesty, sour, and refreshing Prince Rupert (fennel-infused vodka, The Birds, Cocchi Rosa, lemon, hibiscus). The bar food comes from the kitchen at Evelyn’s Table, downstairs.

Inspired by their favourite places in Paris, Leroy is a wine bar and bistro from the team behind Michelin-starred Ellory. In an open kitchen, a small menu is cooked with thought, precision, and love. Simple dishes like mussels and tomatoes on toast and a roast Yorkshire chicken with harissa and green chicory are executed with the utmost skill. To cap it off: unpretentious service, a stack of vinyl, and a wine list that has everything from classic to adventurous.

Buddha Bar aims to push culinary boundaries. The menu blends Far Eastern cuisine with Western tastes and influences; Chinese, Japanese, and Thai flavours are synthesized to create a unique Pacific Rim cuisine. Offerings range from sushi to wok-fried fare, and lots of dishes pack a punch, so take note of the pepper icons throughout. As for drinks, the wine and sake list features a deep selection of world-renowned names and unusual finds, and the restaurant also prides itself on its experimental cocktail program.

Sager & Wilde on Paradise Row offers seasonal, locally-sourced Modern European cuisine alongside a killer wine list and thoughtful cocktails. Menu highlights include ‘nduja arancini, smoked cod’s roe with pink fir potatoes and radishes, and tagliatelle with ox cheek ragu and Parmesan. Best of all, the sprawling terrace provides a lovely atmosphere to eat, drink, and be merry.
