Kemuri Tatsu-ya
This oh-so-buzzworthy joint, from chef-owners Tatsu Aikawa and Tako Matsumoto, is doing it up at their distinctive Texas izakaya for the holiday of romance with a five-course prix fixe, to be specific.
Menu Highlights: smoked tea-pickled beets, greens, miso ranch, and pecans; lobster, prawn, mussels, miso boulliabase, and grilled sourdough crouton; truffled koshihikari porridge with smoked braised beef short rib, herb salad, and rice cracker; strawberry adzuki truffle, pound cake, whip, and chocolate crumble.

What’s more perfect than dining at a husband-and-wife duo’s restaurant on Valentine’s Day? Plus, they’ve put together a four-course prix fixe of the acidic, citrusy, brothy, spicy cuisine they’re known for, with an optional wine pairing for $55.
Menu Highlights: artichoke agnolotti with duck egg sabayon and escargot; amber jack crudo with citrus dashi, pepita purée, and smoked blood orange; rabbit torchon with spring vegetables and buttermilk broth; chocolate arroz con leche with tangerine granita and fried pistachios.
