When the weather cools down, the city heats up– with new restaurant openings, that is. There are only a few weeks left of 2016; make the most of them. Because you are where you eat, here’s a fresh new list to get you through the rest of the year.

1/Upland Miami
Because Sobe meets SoCal — by way of New York — and it’s a mashup that’s got the whole town buzzing. On the menu is simple, ingredient-driven cuisine like a melt-in-your-mouth pappardelle, wood-fired prawns, pistachio-topped pizza and a president-approved burger. // South Beach. (305) 602-9998.

2/Brava by Brad Kilgore
Because your dinner may just outshine the show at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s new on-site restaurant. Expect classic dishes with a fine dining slant by Miami’s hottest chef. Order the whipped clam chowder and three-day marinated short rib, and cue the standing ovation. // Downtown Miami. Book now at Brava by Brad Kilgore.

3/DÔA
Because when the man behind behemoth Zuma opens a new restaurant, you know you’re in good hands. Think South American eats with Asian influences: ceviche, maki, and hot pots galore. And don’t worry about getting there late– the restaurant is open nightly until 5 a.m. // South Beach. (305) 587-2000.

4/Fi’lia
Because mama mia– Michael Schwartz has done it again. Homemade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and Caesar salads made on a roaming tableside cart give it the authentic Italian touch. Preggo. // Brickell. (305) 912-1729.

5/db Bistro
Because French cuisine this good never gets old. That short-rib and foie gras-stuffed burger is worth writing home about, but so are the country pate, escargot and mussels. Pair with an expertly-chosen red wine, and say bonjour to the perfect French meal. // Brickell. Book now at db Bistro.

6/Bazaar Mar
Because seafood shines at Jose Andres’s new stone cold Brickell stunner. Tapas reigns supreme at this Bazaar. Load up on oysters, sashimi, bacalao fritters, and authentic paella, but leave room for dessert; the deconstructed key lime pie is a must. // Brickell. (305) 615-5859.

7/Ariete
Because comfort food with a Miami twist is just what a leisurely night in the Grove needs. Grab a seat on the breezy patio to munch on grilled oysters and fall-off-the-bone short rib, and rejoice in being outside during the wintertime. // Brickell. Book now at Ariete.

8/Izzy’s
Because it’s the best time of the year – stone crab season – and Izzy’s has all the bases covered. Claws on claws on claws, plus plenty of rosé, of course. Oh– and the city’s best lobster roll to boot. // South Beach. Book now at Izzy’s.

9/Lure Fish Bar
Because meat: it’s what’s for dinner. Take surf and turf up a few notches with the Bowery Meat Company’s pop-up, happening nightly at Lure through December. Côte de boeuf for two, zucchini carpaccio, and even fondant potato all make an appearance on the á la carte menu. In December only… get it while it’s hot. // South Beach. Book now at Lure Fish Bar.

10/Il Mulino
Because it doesn’t get more tried-and-true Italian than this. Creamy burrata, tender meatballs, fresh pasta in every shape and form, and a to-die-for ricotta cheesecake. Have a shot of grappa on the house to complete the experience. Italian hospitality at its finest. // South Beach. (305) 372-1221.
