Where to Eat in January: Hags, Ping’s, Golden Diner, and More

By

This year, instead of making resolutions to eat this and not that, why not resolve to simply eat well? Or, in other words, to consume food that’s both nourishing and comforting, without ever depriving yourself of the joy of dining out.

In New York, you’re very much in luck on that account. You could brunch on har gow and shumai at Ping’s in Chinatown any time of day. Order yourself a Vegetalian Hero from Golden Diner, with a slice of Thai tea tres leches cake for dessert. Gather a crew and head to Flushing to fill up on fish balls, noodles, and plenty more over a steamy hot pot of tomato broth at Haidilao. Or indulge in the raw bar at the city’s newest see-and-be-seen spot, Holiday Bar (if you can get a Resy). Whatever you decide to do, and wherever you decide to dine this year, we hope you resolve to enjoy it. And the Resy Hit List for January is here to get you started right.
