The 10 Restaurants That Defined Seattle Dining in 2022

By

In a strong year for dining, what were the absolute standouts?  We asked our contributors to the Resy Hit List to share their top 10 dining experiences from this year in their city — restaurants and meals that left an impression, and helped to define the state of American dining right now. Please welcome back our Best of The Hit List for 2022. (You can find other cities’ top picks here.)

There’s no underestimating the power of a good meal. Research suggests that sharing a meal can boost mental health, and make us more satisfied with our lives. So, eating and drinking aren’t just good for the soul — they have played an essential part in surviving the ups and downs of the pandemic. Which brings us to dining in Seattle — and the restaurants that have gone above and beyond to build community.

Whether it’s been over wine clubs (Brimmer & Heeltap) or special Sunday night menus (Café Munir), creating cozy outdoor spaces (Off Alley) or being a go-to refuge for cocktails and comfort (L’Oursin), we wanted to highlight 10 restaurants that have made us feel loved and cared for. These are the places that felt like home this past year. So from steak frites to fermented pork and celery root stew and Bristol Bay sockeye salmon rillettes (it is the Pacific Northwest, after all), say hello to some of our absolute favorites — the Best of The Hit List for Seattle, with 10 restaurants that defined dining in the city in 2022.
