Throughout June, Resy will honor women in the restaurant industry through our annual Women of Food series. We’re celebrating the restaurants, and the women behind them, who shape the vibrant dining scene in the city, and around the country. These women know how to hustle and are changing the future of hospitality, one dish at a time.
There’s Diana Dávila, owner of Mi Tocaya Antojería, a Michelin Bib Gourmand favorite for regional Mexican specialties and dishes inspired by her travels in Mexico. There’s also Sarah Grueneberg of Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio, who prepares some of the city’s best Italian dishes, from ‘nduja arancini to creste di gallo nestled in lamb and prosciutto sugo. Or take a trip to Restaurant Row for Stephanie Izard’s Girl and the Goat, where you’ll find bold, seasonal dishes that have made this spot a Chicago mainstay.
To mark the importance of supporting women-owned restaurants, we’ve compiled a collection of some of the best such restaurants in Chicago.
