The Resy Guide to Outdoor Dining in Chicago

By

As the days lengthen and temps rise, amid a marked slowdown in COVID cases, anticipation for a semi-normal SummertimeChi is palpable. What better way to ease back into dining out than on one of Chicago’s many stellar patios? From diverse, vibrant Bridgeport to the soaring South Loop, hipster-loving Ukrainian Village and lake-hugging Edgewater, here are our favorite spots for al fresco dining and drinking this summer. Check back every couple weeks for updates — which, by Labor Day, we expect to be as long as those blessedly warm summer nights.

Even as the city reopens, be sure to wear a mask as often as possible (especially when interfacing with servers), check restaurants’ websites and social accounts for updated protocols, and — for goodness sakes — tip well!

New on 6/14: Andros Taverna, Club Lucky, Fiya, Jerry’s Sandwiches, Mi Tocaya Antojeria, Truth Italian Restaurant, Bistro Campagne.
