From June 14-June 18, American Express Membership Week will celebrate Card Members with special experiences and offers that show how life is better #withAmex.

In celebration of Membership Week, Chef David Chang and Momofuku will host a private, virtual dining experience on June 14 for 100 Card Members. Tickets will be available at a limited-time Membership Week price of $10! Guests will receive a special gift following the event that will include a number of favorite Momofuku essentials.


Event Details:

The virtual experience will include an interactive cooking class and Q&A moderated by Chris Ying, as well as a special gift for guests following the event. Chef David Chang will prepare dishes from his restaurants, Majordomo and Bāng Bar.

About David Chang:

David Chang is the chef and founder of Momofuku. Since opening his first restaurant, Momofuku Noodle Bar, in 2004, he has received six James Beard Awards, and has been recognized as GQ’s Man of the Year and a Time 100 honoree. In 2018, David formed Majordomo Media. He is the host of The Dave Chang Show podcast and two Netflix original documentary series, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner and Ugly Delicious. His cookbook, Momofuku, and memoir, Eat A Peach, are both New York Times bestsellers.

 

About Chris Ying:

After working in professional kitchens throughout his college years in Berkeley, Chris Ying left restaurants for a career in publishing. He worked as an editor, designer, and eventually publisher of McSweeney’s Publishing in San Francisco, where he wrote, edited, and designed books of oral history, fiction, poetry, and non-fiction. In 2011, he returned to the food fold when he co-founded the magazine Lucky Peach, serving as editor-in-chief for the first twenty issues. Ying has edited and co-written numerous books, including Voices from the Storm, Ivan Ramen, The Mission Chinese Food Cookbook, The Gaijin Cookbook, and You and I Eat the Same. He is also the co-founder of the nonprofit, ZeroFoodprint, which is dedicated to helping restaurants and chefs fight climate change. Ying is a co-founder of Majordomo Media, the company’s head of creative, and a producer of Ugly Delicious and Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. He also produces and frequently co-hosts The Dave Chang Show and Recipe Club.
