Casual fare, waterfront vistas, and DJ sets come together at Bounce Beach, which took over the location of infamous beach bar The Sloppy Tuna. Get there early and order your frosé on the double as the crowds are ever-growing or, arrive late (after 10 p.m.) on Saturdays and Sunday for the full club experience.

Note: Bounce Beach opens for the season on May 15. 

As the name suggests, surf and turf is on full display here, with a menu that features everything from scallops and cod to baby back ribs and New York strip. The views of the water are hard to beat.

Date Night

At the Water Mill outpost of Manhattan’s acclaimed Kissaki, grab a seat and splurge on the 12-piece sushi nigiri piece. The classic futomaki is a worthy add-on, and be sure to start with their Shiokaze cocktail, combining mezcal and sake. End with a creamy Japanese cheesecake with soy caramel.

The wood-burning oven and grill are a focal point of the cuisine at this year-round Sag Harbor bistro. Order accordingly: Don’t miss the grilled whole branzino or lunch-only wood-fired pizzas. To start, get a half-dozen Montauk Pearls and their wood-roasted cauliflower served with spicy Long Island grapes, yogurt, and Aleppo pepper.

When the Il Buco team heads to Amagansett, you know you’re in for a treat: local seafood finished in a wood-fired oven, tinned fish straight out of the Iberian Peninsula, and a bunch of next-door produce spruced up by chef Justin Smillie.

French bistro classics are in order when you dine at this East Hampton outpost of a favorite Chelsea spot in the city. Think onion soup, steak au poivre, roast chicken, duck confit, and tarte tatin.

Seafood in all its glorious forms is on full display here. Don’t overlook the raw bar selections, and do pay attention to the daily specials which range from pork Milanese on Tuesdays and lobster on Wednesdays to bouillabaisse on Thursdays and moules frites on Sundays.

Exceptional food from chef Ülfet Ralph awaits you at Canoe Place Inn: Think Peconic Bay clam pizza pies, hand-rolled gnocchi, and olive-oil-poached black bass. Choose from a variety of settings, too, ranging from the Good Ground Tavern and the Bottle Room (ideal for small groups) to the lovely outdoor terrace.

Group Dining

For a dependable crowd-pleaser (particularly when it comes to younger diners) look no further than Serafina. They may not be reinventing the wheel, but their lobster ravioli and veal scaloppine always hit the spot. On the way out, stock your pantry with their homemade pesto and Bolognese sauces, and their proprietary pizza kit.

Though the sushi at this clubby and chic Kissaki spin-off is unimpeachable, you’ll want to pay special attention to the appetizers (think: uni lardo crispy rice), robata-grilled dishes, and their craft cocktail program. Score a seat at the expansive outdoor patio and, if you’re so inclined (and dining en masse), consider diving into the “O After Dinner” bottle service experience.

Rosie’s is just the kind of full-service operation you want at your disposal come summertime. Open daily, this casual, vegetable-forward spot offers coffee and pastries starting at 8 a.m. followed by lunch, happy hour, dinner, and a full bar.

This summer. Rosie’s is also playing host to some of your favorite restaurants from the city with its Rosie’s Residency Pop-Up Series taking place from Thursday to Sunday all summer long. Each pop-up will offer a multi-course, prepaid, pre-fixe for $149.
