Restaurant dining on patios, in gardens, and any other outdoor corner — always a pleasure — has become a Boston necessity in summer 2020. The good news is that dozens of formerly patio-less spots have been given the green light to establish their own outdoor dining situations, joining longtime al fresco favorites. That has extended to the surrounding towns, too. (And if you don’t see your favorite restaurant open yet, you can always use My Hit List to stay notified about when it plans to reopen.)
Suffice to say, reservations are highly encouraged — so make one, bring a mask, and generally be extra mindful of good manners. And don’t forget the sunscreen.
