Resy Presents The Women of Food London

By

Resy is pleased to present The Women of Food London, a three-night chef series featuring four of London’s most critically-acclaimed chefs, and Resy’s first-ever international dining series.

Following its 2018 debut in San Francisco, and multi-city US tour in 2019, The Women of Food London marks the series’ international debut and first appearance in London.

The Women of Food will bring to life the theme: Behind Every Great Restaurant is a Woman. Each celebration will feature female collaborators selected by the host chef, ranging from other chefs that they admire to notable creatives and artisans. It promises to be a special event, with food, drink, and conversation.

The series will kick off on November 6th with a dinner at Chef Asma Khan’s Soho restaurant Darjeeling Express, which is inspired by the Indian supper clubs she grew up with. Khan will be joined by Mandy Yin of  Sambal Shiok Laksa Bar, one of the UK’s foremost Malaysian chef-owners. Together they will host an intimate evening themed “An Immigrant Love Letter” that pays homage to family recipes.

Next up, on November 19th, Chef Margot Henderson – one of London’s most influential chefs for the past 20+ years – along with partner Melanie Arnold will host an evening at Rochelle Canteen at the ICA, a sister site of Rochelle Canteen located at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts. Inspired by their contemporary art surrounding, the pair will join forces with artists Sheelagh Boyce and Annabelle Harty of Arrange Whatever Pieces Come Your Way, a collection of quilts best described as  ‘material artworks.’ This evening is sure to be a multi-sensory treat for food and art lovers alike.

To close out the run, on November 26th the Tart London duo of Jemima Jones and Lucy Carr-Ellison will give guests a taste of their brand new Belgravia hotspot Wild By Tart, which will get even hotter as they collaborate with live fire-focused chef Gioconda Scott, who has worked with Hotel Trasierra in Seville, Spain, Kamal Mouzawak of the Souk El Tayeb Farmers Markets in Lebanon, and chef Francis Mallmann in Uruguay. Their dinner will be themed “Into The Wild.”
